  • What is rock climbing?

    Rock climbing is an activity where a person uses their hands and feet to ascend a cliff, boulder, or artificial climbing structure.

  • Do I need any prior experience to try rock climbing?

    Absolutely not! We love to introduce new people to our great sport!

  • What are the different types of rock climbing?

    Rock climbing comes in many disciplines. Primarily we offer auto-belay climbing which is super user friendly and great for first timers.

  • Is rock climbing safe?

    Our auto belay setups are very safe and inspected regularly. Making gym climbing a safe and exciting experience for all ages and abilities.

  • What equipment do I need for rock climbing?

    All you need is closing you can move in and a positive attitude. We can supply the rest.

  • Can children participate in rock climbing?

    Absolutely! Climbing is often one of the first things we start to learn to do, even before we can walk!

  • Are there any age restrictions for rock climbing?

    Our minimum age at Red Rock Climbing Wall is 5.

  • Do you offer lessons or training for beginners?

    We do offer some one on one climbing intro lessons at a cost of $10 per person (additional to the day pass and rental equipment)

  • How long does a typical rock climbing session or experience last?

    Sessions can be very short or very long depending on your schedule and interest. Our fingers and arms round out of strength pretty quickly, so how much time were spending on the wall versus socializing and making friends makes a difference.

  • What should I wear for rock climbing?

    Clothing you can move freely in is best.

  • Can I go rock climbing alone, or do I need a partner?

    At Red Rock Climbing Wall we are primarily auto belays, and they don’t require a partner at all! So you and your friends can all be climbing different things at the same time.

  • Are there weight or height restrictions for rock climbing?

    Our equipment is rated for climbers 25 to 300 pounds.

  • Are there different difficulty levels for rock climbing routes?

    There certainly is. Although we often suggest while your starting out to worry a little less about the routes and use what you need to get to the top.

  • Can I rent equipment from your rock climbing company?

    You can! We have a variety of equipment for rent. Everything you need to climb in our gym. We also rent crash pads for anyone looking to venture outdoors without the cost of purchasing your own.

  • Are there any health considerations or physical fitness requirements for rock climbing?

    Participants should be in good general health as rock climbing is physical and does require a lot of full body effort.

  • What safety measures are in place during rock climbing sessions?

    We regularly inspect our equipment for safety including webbing, carabiners, attachment points, and harnesses.

  • Are there any specific rules or etiquette I should be aware of while rock climbing?

    Our 3 Primary rules are. Climbers must clip in before climbing or be clipped in by an adult. Climbers must remain aware of their surroundings as we often have other climbers overhead or sports happening on the turf directly behind us. Climbers are only to grab onto wooden or plastic options, metal should be avoided.

  • Can I take pictures or videos during my rock climbing experience?

    Absolutely! We encourage everyone to take as many photos or video as they want. We do however encourage everyone to give us a tag or mention when showing how much fun you have on social media!
