About Us
Meet the Team Behind the Wall
Welcome to Red Rock Climbing Wall, Prince Edward Island's first indoor climbing gym.
We want to change the way Islanders think about birthday parties, office outings, and events. We want to inspire people to put down their controllers and climb our walls. We are dedicated to providing a fun and safe environment for climbers of all levels. With six combined climbing walls at various heights and an ever-changing pattern of climbing holds, Red Rock Wall is perfect for beginners and can also challenge experienced climbers.
Our team is made up of seasoned rock climbers, sports enthusiasts, and sports business operators. We are passionate about combining fun with athletic activity. We want to create a space where Islanders can come together to climb, have fun, and get fit.
Whether you are a seasoned climber or a beginner, we welcome you to join our community and experience the thrill of climbing. So come on down and climb with us!
Meet Our Team
Matt Cormier
Owner/Operator
I started climbing the summer of 2011 on a trip to the west coast to visit my younger brother. Since that day climbing has become a very important part of my life and has taken me far and wide. I couldn’t imagine what life would look like without having been given the opportunity to face my fears and get well outside my comfort zone.
Ghenyk MacDonald
Supervisor/Head Setter
Hi, my name is Ghenyk! I work at Red Rock Climbing Wall, Upstreet Craft Beer Corner, and am also a substitute cook at a daycare. When I’m not climbing, pouring beers or cooking for the kiddos I enjoy my free time hanging out with friends, riding either my road or mountain bike, and playing video games.

Hello! My name is Zoe, I’m a Holland College student taking Heritage Retrofit carpentry. I work as a Newspaper instructor as well as at Red Rock. In my free time I enjoy hanging with friends, hand-carving wood, all types of art, and every now and then, a good video game.
Luca Bisceglia
Youth Program Coordinator
Hey! I’m Luca and I run the youth groups here at Red Rock. My passions in life include climbing and art. I’ve been climbing since 2009 and made the jump into outdoor climbing in 2020. I’m also a lifelong artist who tends to favour pen and ink and animation. My goal with our youth group is to encourage kids to engage with climbing in ways that feel fun and exciting to them while fostering a supportive community and creating core memories.

Hey! My name is James, and apart from working at Red Rock, I also do stock trading. As for my main hobbies, I like climbing, 3D animation, video games with friends, and dancing. Living an active lifestyle is also very important to me, so when I’m not at the computer, you can find me weightlifting, running, and in the summer, hiking!

Hai! Along with climbing, I also swim and snowboard. I’m a creative who wears alternative fashion, explores new mediums, and aims to go against the current artistically. I recently went on a solo backpacking trip (I’m psyched to try traveling more!) and have gotten into tabletop gaming. I have 3 children (cats) and a soft spot for insects and reptiles. I’m addicted to Japanese food and passionate about movies and new wave or post-punk music.
